Why Relatable Nonprofit Exists

Hi, I’m Cat.

I created Relatable Nonprofit after leaving what used to be my dream nonprofit job.

On paper, I had the career I thought I was supposed to want. I had the foundation role, the Columbia degree, the title, the salary, and the chance to fund incredible organizations doing mission-driven work.

But the structure no longer worked for my life.

I wanted to keep doing meaningful work, but I also wanted more freedom, more flexibility, more income, and more ownership over my time.

Consulting became the vehicle.

When I started consulting in 2021, I quickly realized that being excellent at nonprofit work is not the same as knowing how to build a business around that expertise.

I had to learn the business side through trial, error, courses, coaches, books, mistakes, and real client work.

That experience eventually helped me grow a $300K/year consulting business.
