Why I Built the Nonprofit Consultant OS

Hi, I’m Cat.

I started consulting after leaving what I once thought was my dream nonprofit career.

On paper, I had everything I thought I was supposed to want. I had worked my way into leadership roles, earned my master’s from Columbia, and eventually became a Program Officer at a $500 million private foundation.

But the structure no longer worked for the life I wanted.

I still wanted to do meaningful work in the nonprofit sector. I just wanted more freedom, flexibility, ownership over my time, and the ability to earn more.

Consulting gave me that opportunity. But I quickly learned that being good at nonprofit work and knowing how to build a business around that expertise are two very different things.

I had to learn how to package and price my services, find clients, sell my work, manage projects, set boundaries, and build systems behind the scenes.

I learned through real client work, plenty of trial and error, and eventually built a multiple six-figure business.

The Nonprofit Consultant OS brings those lessons together into the business framework I wish I'd had when I started consulting.
